Description/Personality: A somewhat shy, quiet young lady. Standing 5'5", weighing in at approximately 125 pounds, with aristocratic features and a ladylike deportment. She is rather pretty, but not agressively so. Modest, and graceful, with a quiet way of speaking.
History/Background: Tempori was born on a remote estate in the Three Rivers area of Valdemar (about a day's hard ride east of Kettlesmith), the bastard child of the minor Lord Tyrus. She grew up first as a kitchen girl, then as a chambermaid in the manor house, working with her mother and basically living from day to day. Her life was uneventful and rather boring. She learned how to speak and behave from watching the wife and daughters of Lord Tyrus, and play acted at being a great lady after her work was done.
At thirteen, she hit puberty, and went from chubby little girl to gawky teen to pretty young lady within a year (as some girls occassionally develop). During that time, she was noticed by the Lord Tyrus's heir, Danel. Lord Tyrus, aware that they were half-siblings, was not pleased. With a small satchel of clothes, and a few coppers, he put her out of the manor, and off the lands. He wasn't cruel, but he made it clear she was not to return. Ever.
No longer having a home, Tempori left the manor, walking the road towards Kettlesmith. The first night on the road, she was attacked by a small group of bandits. Robbed of her money, beaten badly, she might have been molested had it not been for the intervention of the Valdemaren guard from Kettlesmith, who had been on patrol. A very long ride on horseback later, she was put into a room in the inn at Kettlesmith, badley bruised and crying hysterically.
That night she dreamed. It was the first manifestation of her ability at ForeSight. She did not attribute it to anything at all except a dream of somewhere safe and the vague images of a green field and the color white. She also nightmared about the attack, screaming for help, and begging for it to stop.
She could not know it, but the attack awakened her latent abilities, though her ForeSight would never be stronger than occassional vague dreams and feelings of dread or anticipation. It would later be her greatest edge in weapons training; when focused on the dance of blades she could anticipate the actions of her opponents and counter attacks. On a greater scale, it would never really be useful. It also opened a very weak gift of Mindspeech which, in that moment of terror, was heard by Tomas and sent him running.
When Tempori awakened several days later, after nights of fevered dreams and nightmares, she finally ventured out of her room at the inn. She was scared at the mere thought of having to get back out on the road and travel, and had decided to beg the innkeeper to let her work at the inn for room and board and the occassional new set of clothing. The innkeeper was a little reluctant, but finally agreed and sent her out back to wash at the pump and get cleaned up.
Tempori walked outside and came face to face, and eye to eye, with Tomas. And for the second time in the same week, her life changed irrevocably.
