Description/Personality: Naiya has a weathered face with a light cobweb of lines around her eyes and a smattering of grey in her light brown hair. She appears older than she is, but this has never been a problem as she gets more respect as a crone. Her age is only skin deep, she has a lean athletic body and a sharp mind, she favours sarcasm above all other form of humour and enjoys putting headstrong guards down a peg. She seems unsympathetic to most people and her dry humour is often mistaken as a bitter side, but she is capable of feeling and secretly enjoys the soppier bard songs, though she would never admit it!

History/Background: Naiya grew up with her father in his barracks as a typical army brat. Growing up with fighting men means she has all the bad habits of soldier's, but also is an excellent fighter and tactician. Not having many feminine role models means Naiya has little tolerance for the attention seeking tears and woes of more ladylike women which means she is often a little to quick to dismiss noble women's troubles as unimportant. She has reached a point in rank where her skills as a tactician are more useful than her actual 'guarding' but she is occasionally roped into teaching and rarer still fighting
