A lot of Miranda's background is unknown. Those close to her know that the night she was Chosen, her two month old child was supposedly killed. She was 14 at the time, and a new bride. Her husband had died while she was in her sixth month of pregnancy. After coming to the Collegium, and breaking through her difficulty talking with people, she had a normal time of it.
