Description/Personality: She is largely an inconsistent person, with two conflicting sides, she is dreamy when idol and can appear to be slightly dim at these times but when she has got her attention on you you'll find a sturdy wit and very secure character which is at odds with dual personality. Although her humour can be cutting or altogether silly she manages to find it in any situation she gets into and despite most of her belittling comments being aimed at herself she does on occasion snap at unfortunate bystanders, which makes people wary of her. She is not particularly beautiful which gave her difficulties as a child. But she is pleasant to look upon with a ready smile (when she is paying attention) and an open expression that her widely spaced eyes and subtle cheekbones produce. In fact she looks best when just back from a long trip and her skin is a little sun touched and her face takes on more defined, less childish attributes. Her small heart shaped lips look continually pursed but it serves to make her well practiced smile more dramatic, at least that's what she tells herself. Her hair is long, impractically long as she will often complain but she wont cut it since she secretly believes it's the most miraculous thing about her and the only reason people ever notice her. For all of her cutting wit she is short and not particularly, well to put it bluntly, probably the most unimposing person you can imagine

History/Background: She was born of a small holding lord in the middle regions of Valdemar, so when her passion for music manifested it was indulged. Her dreamy side came from the tendency to spend a lot of time on her own in her father's fairly extensive grounds. She was not unhappy in her life at the holding but like many gifted children she dreaded the inevitable marriage to some 'old fart' as she put it, so in defence she developed her wit and a fair amount of obstinacy that kept her safe from most of her suitors. In-fact it worked so well that she never found out that most of them were around her own age because the only ones who would put up with her wilfulness were the older suitors. Her voice is what drew the attention of a Bard visiting the holding when he happened across her imitating bird song then adapting it to create lyrical and challenging songs for lute and voice. Leshanya was delighted as much as her etiquette tutors were relieved when this gained her the chance to train for her scarlet's. She was more than a little disappointed to find that her etiquette lesson were to continue at the guild. It was during her training that her teachers discovered her gift of mind speech which got her lessons in herald collegium; she relished this as she became acquainted with the heralds in training and the fabled Companions to some extent. Her Bardic training found her to be a competent player but lacking in confidence, an excellent composer which her sporadic Bardic gift enhances to make her songs relatively well known before she finished her training.
