Description/Personality:	Jesson is a friendly sort. He can tell a joke and laugh at the jokes of others. He likes to play the short pipe (something like a harmonica) at gatherings of friends, although he has no formal bardic training. He is a serious worker with a methodical mind. History/Background:	Jesson comes from a village about halfway to Karse from Haven. He was chosen at age 14. His parents are Josser, a miller, and Merka, whose family had a pottery in the same village. Jesson has a brother, Semmy, also a miller working with his father. Jesson's sister, Meera, is engaged to Orban, a farmer's son who lives nearby. Jesson had a good upbringing and gets along well with his family. He visits them when he gets time off from his duties. He did well at his lessons at the collegium. He learned to play the short pipe from a bard employed at the villge inn.
