Description/Personality:
Eddard comes from the Northern Borders, and such his demeanour is gruff, at least at first. Unless your a friend or have been in his company for a bit, he will show you that side of him. Life in the North shapes a man to be hardy and solid, so he shows that. His friends see's someone totally different. Eddard likes his friends and family, and very rarely takes a lover. Karegn seems to be the only exception. A Herald, he has on occasion healed her, and as such has grown into more feelings for her. Eddard appears as a somewhat tall man. His black hair and grey eyes shows his intelligence and to some extent, his cunning. Tanned and wind hardened, his face rarely smiles. A trim beard and mustache help frame his face.
History/Background:
Hailing from a village north of Crook Back pass, Eddard grew up the epitome of a warrior. When he was just 12, he killed a man during a defense against a raid on his village. Since that time, he swears he has killed more men before coming to Haven, then most of the warriors in his village combined. Upon reaching Haven to take the Blues, he was hurt.... by the same Blues he was to join. The incident caused him to think about his life, and soon he found himself wandering the city streets. In the night, he "felt" something and wondered what it was. Looking around, he saw a little kid with an adults head in his lap. The pain was eminating from the child, crying for his lost parent. He said a man in blue hurt his daddy. That tore it for Eddard and he officially resigned. Lost in the City, Eddard swore never to fight again. He saw firsthand the downside of being the looser, and he hated it. He remembered the warm feeling he got while at the Healers and smiled. He petitioned the Dean of the Healers Collegium and was accepted in. The Dean thought it was rather fitting, after finding out Eddards past. After graduating and traveling the Northern Borders on circuit, Eddard returned to the Collegium to help teach the new students
