Description/Personality: | Aisling is a calm, thoughtful woman, with a wicked sense of humor. Her biggest problem is making decisions, but when it's a crisis decision she jumps right in with no hesitation. She has a low-level Mage-Gift which was trained to Journeyman level, and can assist Masters. She can channel energy for Healers, but since the energy comes directly from her, they don't ask and she doesn't volunteer except in emergencies. She helps out in the library when she's at the Collegium, has assisted in Mind Speech classes for trainees, but is generally found either on circuit, or being used as a messenger. She tends to keep to herself, is a bit lonely sometimes, but is one who cherishes her solitude. She does go home for most holidays (and her family has grown much bigger!) but after all, with her Companion Samell, she is never alone. |
History/Background: | Aisling came from a big noisy family, 6 brothers, 5 sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins galore. Though they lived on the shores of Lake Evendim, her family was not involved in fishing. Her parents ran the store in their village, more of a trading post really, though her brothers did all work the fishing boats. Aisling was helping her mother sort inventory on the day before her 15th birthday, when her father called them out. A Companion was walking slowly through the village, bells chiming gentlywith all the children and adults in the town following eagerly. Aisling's father was peering out the open door at the Companion, and Aisling and her mother joined him. The Companion stopped outside the store and pawed the ground impatiently. Aisling stood quietly for a moment, then giving her mother's hand a squeeze, she walked up to Samell and climbed into the saddle without a second thought. Five years to the day after being Chosen, Aisling earned her whites. And still, after all these years, she never looked back. |
